(Karachi) Advisor to Prime Minister on Health Zafar Mirza has said 89 confirmed coronavirus patients have been reported across the country in the last 24 hours. He added here are 399 corona patients in Sindh, 249 in Punjab, 110 in Balochistan, 38 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and 80 in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Addressing a press briefing in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said the government is taking all-out measures to counter the deadly disease.

He pointed out that the country is passing through difficult times due to coronavirus outbreak. He mentioned as part of a strategy, the government has restricted socialization and is promoting self distancing across the country.

Earlier, Pakistan reported another death due to the coronavirus taking the total number of fatalities to seven in the country.

Taking to her official Twitter handle, Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid said that a male, aged 57 died due to the coronavirus. The patient was admitted in Mayo Hospital, Lahore. ‚ÄúThese are indeed difficult times for the whole country. Only way we can fight this pandemic is by staying indoors and following the precautionary measures,” she tweeted.
